Trident enthusiasts can breathe easy. Er, still don’t bring them, though…

Taylor Swift enjoyed a two-night stand at Croke Park in Dublin last weekend, with everyone from loyal fans to sound Gardaí getting involved.

And then there was the strange breakdown of banned items from the gig, which included animals, spiked bracelets and wallet chains (no love for the thriving Irish nu metal community, sadly), smoke canisters and tridents.

Yes, tridents. The symbol of the Greek god Poseidon. Not allowed at the pop concert.

Anyway, the big gig this weekend appears to be Picture This and their super-show at the RDS, with a huge support bill including Clean Bandit and Little Hours marking the wildly popular Athy outfit’s biggest headliner to date on home soil.

Picture This take to the stage this Saturday 23 June, and once again there’s a list of things that fans are asked to leave at home.

So with that said, the following items are prohibited from the show:

  • Backpacks or large handbags (only bags of A4 size or under will be allowed)
  • Umbrellas
  • Glass
  • Cans
  • Food/Drink
  • Alcohol
  • Garden furniture
  • Selfie sticks
  • Flares
  • No professional cameras or cameras with a detachable lens
  • Video cameras
  • Audio recording devices
  • iPads
  • GoPros

No mention of tridents like the Taylor Swift gig, but best not to bring them all the same.

Children under the age of five years old are not allowed attend the concert as there are no on-site facilities to cater for babies and small children.

Fans are advised that security checks and searches will be in operation, and to allow for two hours travel time either side of the concert, with public transport suggested as the best possible option.
