No school like the old school…

Metallica take over Slane Castle on Saturday 8 June, with a stacked bill in support.

How do the band hold up in 2019, you may well ask?

JOE headed over to Paris to take the temperature of Hetfield, Hammett, Ulrich, and Trujillo a couple of weekends back, and you can check out the report on that wild night right here.

Still very much a huge juggernaut, Metallica have Slane in their sights as they look to tick off a very big legacy box indeed.

Everyone’s getting very excited, not least the sixth class students of St. Patrick’s National School in Slane, who have done the band proud with an equally impressive and haunting take on classic Metallica anthem ‘Nothing Else Matters’.

Last Christmas, the school band recorded and released a charity version of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’, so they have form for this type of thing.
