PIC: Irish pilot captures fantastic image of Bruce Springsteen concert from 38,000 feet
The only show in town.
Although the numbers might not necessarily add up, it seems as if half the population of Ireland was at Bruce Springsteen at Croke Park on Friday or Sunday night (or both) as the country fell in love with The Boss all over again.
An image sent to us by JOE reader Lucy Harrington gave a fair idea of the sheer scale of the event from inside Croke Park, but another one sent to us by another reader, Brendan Murphy, sums up just how much of a big deal it was from a completely different vantage point.
Brendan, a 23 year-old pilot, told us he caught the snap below “while flying my big metal bird back to Shannon from Warsaw at 38,000 feet last night”.
“You can see Croke Park all lit up while Bruce was giving it socks,” he added.
Indeed you can and what a sight it is.
Please come back soon Bruce.
Cheers to Brendan Murphy for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, editorial@JOE.ie or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
