Saturday night warm-up tracks: British Sea Power, Le Galaxie and Dropkick Murphys

It's the long weekend and with Paddy’s Day tomorrow you’re probably taking it easy. But that would be a ridiculous thing to do, so listen to these tunes and get the f**k out the door.

British Sea Power – ‘Waving Flags’

The British six-piece will be hitting Dublin’s Academy on May 7th so we thought we would give you a reason to pick up your tickets when they go on sale on Tuesday. It’s also a great song, as you can obviously tell.

Le Galaxie – ‘The Nightcaller’

We’re pretty sure Le Galaxie are the best live act in the country, and we’re normally right. And if you don’t believe us, we dare ya to pop into the Button Factory tomorrow evening and you will see how right we are.

Dropkick Murphys – ‘Shipping up to Boston’

Because you haven’t heard this a million times already. As it’s Paddy’s weekend we thought we would ‘Irish’ it up with these US punks, and also it’s just a great drinking song.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
