JOE’s Sunday morning Chill Out Tracks are here to soothe what might well be an aching head as you recover from the night before

Most weeks, we have a theme running through the chill out tracks, like who’s playing live or what fetival is on the horizon. This week we decided we just enjoyed these songs, and wanted to play them. We’re not as laid back as people think, so here’s the deal: we’re going to play these tracks, and you’re going to float there and like it.

Charles Murdoch – No Lungs

Murdoch is from Brisbane and makes some pretty great ambient electro music, which we reckon qualifies nicely as chilled. Sit back and relax to the sounds of his tune ‘No Lungs’

Fyfe – St. Tropez

Fyfe is the new project of the man who was once known as David’s Lyre, Paul Dixon. In 2010, under his prevoius guise, the Guardian named him as one of their musicians to watch, and if ‘St. Tropez’ is anything to go by, then you should still be looking out for him

Everything Everything ‘ Tin (The Manhole)

For some reason, we’ve been hearing this song a lot lately on TV shows and ads in the background. We’ve liked it for a while, but hearing it everywhere reminded us just how good it is. Check out the lads performing it live, with a string section giving them a hand.
