The mother of the Irish girl who threw water at Niall Horan says her child has been receiving death threats

Enough is enough

Enough is enough.

When a young Irish girl threw water at Niall Horan during the One Direction concert in Belfast earlier this week, she did not expect she would wind up receiving death threats and hate mail from fans of the boyband worldwide.

The girl’s mum wrote to JOE.ie today, explaining that “Louis had started throwing water around her and her friends and she as well as others had took this to be a game and threw some back.”

The water splashed on Niall, who had been playing a (seemingly unplugged) electric guitar, which frustrated the young man from Mullingar but there’s no doubt that Mr. Horan doesn’t condone the response of some 1D fans on Twitter.

A quick search of the ‘Can You Respect Niall’ hashtag revealed disturbing results like these:

Writing to JOE, the girl’s mother continued “My daughter and I want all this to stop because she loves 1D so much she wants Niall and the rest of the band to know that this has been blew out of proportion and she would never in her wildest dreams want to hurt any of them.”

Hopefully Niall can call off the hounds of Twitter now.
