The Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the Tennent’s Vital 2016 festival in Belfast in August of this year.

The Belfast Telegraph have today revealed that the hugely popular rockers will perform at the festival in Boucher Playing Fields on August 25 in what is a massive coup for festival organisers.

The date has not yet been confirmed on the band’s official website, but with dates for festivals in Leeds and Reading pencilled in on the weekend of August 26-27, it would fit in nicely with their schedule.

The Chilis, who have headlined Slane Castle twice in the past, are massively popular in Ireland so when tickets do come out, you’d better act fast.
