This is incredible stuff from Danny and the boys…

The Script were on their way to a live show in Manchester when they heroically intervened to help a female driver who was stuck in her vehicle after she hit a roadside barrier and jackknifed over on the M40 motorway.

Like all good people the band, made up of Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power, didn’t walk away from the incident and ran to help the trapped motorist. The band then pulled her out of the wreckage before ringing the emergency services.

In an intervew with local station Key 103, Danny said that, “We called 911 then ran over to the car. She was trapped and saying she couldn’t feel her legs, which was scary. But we managed to un-jam the door and get her out.”

There was a relatively happy ending from this traumatic ordeal for the woman because after she regained her composure she was ecstatic to discover the identity of her rescuers.

Danny said, “we were sat there and suddenly she said, ‘Oh my God, you’re The Script!’ Then she jumped out of the van. I was like: ‘Sit down!’ She’s a big fan which is amazing.”
