WATCH: Dave Grohl joins Prophets of Rage on stage to cover a punk-rock classic

Paul Moore

A must watch for fans of Rage Against the Machine and Foo Fighters.

If you’ve ever been to a Rage Against the Machine gig then you’ll know that you’ve only got two options. 1) Jump around and lose your mind or 2) run the risk of being trampled on by the hordes of moshing fans.

While Zach de La Rocha hasn’t joined the new supergroup Prophets of Rage, his absence has been filled by Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. RATM members Brad Wilk, Tim C and Tom Morello complete the lineup and Prophets of Rage have started their live gigs with a bang.

Here’s a look at the setlist that they played during their recent gig at the Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto, Canada. Take a look at the video below as Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl joins the band on stage (2:02:50 mark) as they cover MC5’s punk-rock classic, Kick Out the James (a track that was also covered by RATM)

As a massive Rage Against the Machine fan, it’s definitely the next best thing to seeing the band reunite.
