Very sad news.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has reported that 13 more people with Covid-19 have died in Ireland.
All of these deaths occurred in recent days.
The HPSC has also been notified of 1,269 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.
221 of these cases are in Meath, 203 in Dublin, 116 in Cork, 80 in Cavan and the remaining 649 cases were spread out in 22 counties.
As of 2pm on Tuesday, 312 people in hospital have Covid-19 and 34 are in Intensive Care Units.
There have been 13 hospitalisations in the last 24 hours.
