An American man has been seriously wounded after the gun he was hiding in the broiler of his oven went off. A woman who also lived at the residence had began to use the oven without knowing that the gun was inside it.
According to WKBN, the man was shot twice by the gun but is expected to be alright.
“He had heard the gun go off and he realized what was happening and he obviously didn’t want anyone to get hurt, so he attempted to get up underneath there and get the gun out from underneath, but it was already too late and it was too hot and the gun continued to go off,” said Detective Wayne Mackey of the Warren Police Department.
The “shooting” happened on Sunday evening and the man was recovering by Monday. He was later named as Robin Garlock, 44.
