In the aftermath of the Manchester attack, performer Ariana Grande has been held at the centre of attention.
While ill-timed think-pieces raged on about Grande in light of the attack, Grande tweeted once in the immediacy of the bombing:
broken.
from the bottom of my heart, i am so so sorry. i don’t have words.— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) May 23, 2017
Following the Manchester attack, Grande cancelled gigs in London, Lodz, Antwerp, Frankfurt and Zurich which were due to take place last week and next week.
Since then she reportedly returned to her home in Florida, but today wrote an emotional letter to the people of Manchester, and vowed that when the city was ready, she would return for a benefit gig.
