Barack Obama has just laid an utterly brutal putdown on Donald Trump

Barack Obama has laid down one of his most withering putdowns to date on Donald Trump just hours out from the US election.

Now there’s clearly no love lost between the pair, what with Trump previously being a leading proponent of the Birther movement, which questioned if the President was even a US citizen.

Meanwhile, Obama has rarely missed an opportunity to launch lacerating attacks on Trump on the campaign trail.

And yesterday, a gaping opportunity presented itself to the President.

Speaking in the key electoral state of Florida  Obama seized on reports the Republican candidate has been banned from his own Twitter account.

He said: “Apparently his campaign has taken away his Twitter. In the last two days they had so little confidence in his self control, they just said 'we’re going to take away your Twitter'.

“Now if somebody can’t handle a Twitter account, they can’t handle the nuclear codes.

“If someone starts tweeting at three in the morning because SNL (Saturday Night Live) made fun of you, then you can’t handle the nuclear codes.”

Brutal.
