Body of teenage girl has been discovered in Dublin

The body was discovered in the west of the city.

Gardaí at Lucan in County Dublin, who are currently investigating the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl, have discovered the body of a female.

The body was found on the Clonee Road in Lucan at approximately 1pm on Thursday 17 May.

The missing girl was last seen at St Catherine’s Park in the evening of Monday 14 May, and her family and the Gardaí had issued an appeal for information on her whereabouts.

The scene is currently being preserved, pending a full Garda technical examination, with the body currently at the scene.

According to RTE News, it is believed the body was discovered in a disused building, and the State Pathologist’s Office and Garda Forensic Bureau have been notified.

Gardaí at Lucan are seeking witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
