commuter delays

Take note.

A combination of bad weather, accidents and train delays mean that there are delays in many areas around Dublin on Wednesday evening.

A Status Yellow rainfall warning has also been issued for seven counties and is valid until 2am on Thursday morning.

Services out of Heuston Station are experiencing knock on delays of upwards of ten minutes due to a points issue.

Meanwhile there’s also delays to DART and commuter services due to a truck hitting a railway bridge on Bath Avenue earlier today.

The incident has now been cleared and services have resumed, but there is knock on delays of up to 20 minutes.

The Luas Green Line and Red Line services are also operating with delays of up to 10 minutes due to a “non-Luas related incident”.

Traffic is also very heavy on the M50 northbound from J16 Cherrywood through to J5 Finglas. While it’s also slow southbound from the M1 Interchange past J5 Finglas following a crash earlier on Wednesday.

Motorists are advised to slow down and allow extra space between vehicles due to the poor driving conditions.
