Deloitte Ireland Paid €10.45m By State For Migration Consultancy

The State has paid Deloitte Ireland €10.45 million in consultancy fees since the start of last year to help manage the response to the international protection accommodation crisis and the war in Ukraine, according to RTÉ News. New figures show €2.45m of that total was paid out in the second quarter of this year alone.

Where the Deloitte Ireland money went

A spokesman for the Department of Justice said Deloitte’s work had "focused on a number of areas, including continuing process improvement and reducing rates for accommodation services." Deloitte Ireland said it was "not in a position to comment on these client engagements."

The consultancy bill comes on top of the €317.05m paid to commercial operators to accommodate applicants and Ukrainians between April and June — an average of €3.48m a day.
