An extremely sound act of kindness this Christmas season.
Sadly, the Jo’Burger Group Ltd has confirmed that the company is going into liquidation.
As previously reported, several of Dublin’s most popular restaurants — including Jo’Burger, Crackbird, Hey Donna and Bar Giuseppe — are set to cease trading immediately. Each of the restaurants were based at locations around Dublin.
Skinflint, another Joe Macken restaurant, had already closed its doors in the last few weeks.
In a statement posted on the Jo’Burger Twitter page, the company wrote: “With great regret we confirm that Jo’Burger Group Ltd is going into liquidation. A combination of factors including challenging trading conditions have forced this move.
“We would like to thank our many customers for their years of support. But mostly thank you and sorry to all our crew and suppliers for their dedication and trust.
While patrons of the restaurants will be very sad to see them go, the immediate concern turns to the people who have lost their jobs so close to Christmas.
Since this sad news was announced, both Eddie Rockets and Whelan’s – the extremely popular bar on Wexford Street, Dublin – have both offered the Jo’Burger staff another chance at employment.
An extremely kind thing to do.
We are sorry to see any business close down.
We would like to offer the staff of Jo’Burger jobs straight away, chefs, supervisors, waitress & porters jobs.
Please contact us directly now and we will hire you!
