Enda Kenny is ‘unaware’ of any Irish citizen having lost their life in Brussels

Carl Kinsella

Enda Kenny has spoken to the Dáil this morning.

Caretaker Taoiseach Enda Kenny made a strong statement against those attacking Europe with violence in the wake of this morning’s attacks in Brussels Airport and the Maalbeek Metro Station.

He followed up his statements on social media by telling the Dáil that, according to the Irish ambassador to Belgium, no Irish life has been lost in the attacks.

According to Belgian police forces, several people have died between the three explosions and Belgium remains on its highest level of alert – meaning that further attacks are expected.

If you are Irish in Brussels, you can contact the Embassy of Ireland using the below details – or in the meantime, let your friends and family know you’re safe using Facebook’s safety-check feature.
