Investigations are ongoing.

The family of Azzam Raguragui, an 18-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in Finsbury Park, Dundrum, have asked the Gardaí to publish a statement on their behalf. Raguragui died of his wounds on Friday night.

A statement, signed by both of Azzam’s parents, has expressed their faith in the justice system and thanked the community for their support.

“An Garda Síochána are leading in the investigation to uncover the truth behind our son Azzam Raguragui’s murder and we are resting our faith in the Irish Justice system to hold the perpetrator(s) to account.

“We are grateful for the community support we have received.

“At this critical time we would like to request some space and privacy to allow us to grieve as a family.”

It is believed that Azzam was en route to pray in the Clonskeagh Mosque when the incident occurred.
