Sheriff office in Florida forced to release the silliest statement regarding hurricane Irma

We thought this was a given...

JOE

Hurricane dorian

Well, we’re glad we cleared that up…

We always thought some things were just too obvious to ignore.

The sky is blue, people need to pay their taxes and don’t try to defend yourself against a hurricane by shooting your weapon at it.

Wait, what?

Pasco Sheriff in Florida has warned people not to shoot their guns at the storm following a man’s suggestion to do this as the best form of defence.

The man in question set up a Facebook event which has over 46,000 people saying that they would be interested in taking part.

People began googling online about how to shoot at the storm in a way that wouldn’t make the bullets come back at you and kill you.

The description of the event said: “it’s time we took a stand against this bully!” reads the event description. “This is our home, nobody drives us out of our own territory.

“Join me in this fight as we shoot flames at Hurricane Irma and dissipate her on the spot.”

It all got a bit out of hand and the authorities had to get involve and took to Twitter to urge people not to do something so silly…

The tweet reads: “To clarify, do not shoot weapons at Irma. You won’t make it turn around and it will have very dangerous side effects.

In a case of bullet v storm, the storm is going to win, every time.
