It is only an idea at this stage but with the money in pro sport, we think this will happen.
Crazy wages, the adoration of fans, flash cars and a job playing sports for a living. Top professional athletes have it all, don’t they? Well thanks to a team up between Nike and Teague designers you have another reason to be envious of the modern day gladiators.
Studies have shown that athletes who have to travel across three time zones are 60 per cent more likely to lose their games. With this in mind the sports giant and a team of designers have proposed a concept plane to help combat this.
This customised jet is designed with the athlete’s comfort and performance in mind. Each athlete will have his or her own seat that will recline to be flat and is up to seven feet in length which will be handy for the likes of NBA players and rugby second rows. Each seat can raise each leg positions individually and the seat also contains ice and compression sleeves.
There will be a kitchen containing a tailored meal plan for each athlete as well as medical station where athletes can receive treatment from physios or even receive intravenous fluids.
For others who choose to wind down in a different manner there is a lounge on the lower level so that players can stretch their legs or sit down in a cosy informal seated environment.
Besides all of these unbelievable amenities the jet is incredibly beautiful. We still reckon we have a shot at playing for a pro team and getting onto one of these. One day we’ll be on this jet. Until then we’re off to the gym.
