This is another level…
Getting behind the wheel of the car when under the influence of alcohol is dangerous, stupid and selfish. It’s also illegal.
You’re not in the right mind and one driver proved that in a dramatic way in Dublin over the weekend when they were arrested for drink driving.
That’s not even the worst thing about this story.
Not only was the driver under the influence. They drove up Grafton Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. Grafton Street. You know it? One of the main streets in Dublin? Fully pedestrianised?
The driver was arrested and brought to Store Street Garda Station.
I know a shortcut!

A few weeks ago, over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Gardaí in Roscommon arrested the driver of an articulated lorry who was found to be 11 times over the legal limit.

The An Garda Síochána Twitter account has been increasingly sharing incidences like the above over the past couple of years to draw attention to the public about the dangers of getting behind the wheel while under the influence.
