Gardaí investigating after the discovery of a man’s body in Louth

Gardaí attended the scene in Louth on Saturday morning.

Gardaí in Dunleer are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body near Ardee Road, Dunleer, Louth.

The body of the man, believed to be in his early 20s, was discovered on land off Ardee Road on Saturday morning.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene at 8.45am and the man was pronounced dead a short time later.

The scene has been preserved and the state pathologist has been notified.

The body of the man will be removed to the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and a post mortem will be carried out later today.
