Gardaí seize almost €200k worth of drugs in Dublin home

One man was arrested in connection to the seizure.

On the evening of Sunday 25 August, Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit in Lucan discovered diamorphine (better known as heroine) and cannabis herb with the approximate street value of €186,000 in a house in Clondalkin in Dublin 22.

The drugs were seized as part of an ongoing investigations into drug dealing in Dublin, with the Gardaí also discovering additional drugs paraphernalia at the home.

One man in his early 40s was arrested and taken to Ronanstown Garda Station where he was detained under the provisions of Section 2, Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

The seized drugs are to be analysed, and investigations into the seizure are still currently ongoing.
