A funeral in Germany ended on a high recently as mourners were accidentally served “hash cake”.
13 of the attendees of the funeral were left with nausea and dizziness, with some requiring medical treatment after the burial in Wiethagen.
A police investigation revealed that the restaurant employee in charge of the cakes had asked her 18-year-old daughter to bake them.
The hash cake had been made for a different occasion according to Associated Press.
Her mother took the hash cake to the restaurant for the funeral by mistake after it was left beside the correct cakes.
Police in Germany have said the daughter is now under investigation for the incident which happened in August this year.
