Here's how Google managed to spend over €200,000 on their Christmas party in Dublin

Christmas party season is in full swing and we imagine a lot of you had some awky momos when you walked into work this morning.

They are great craic but there are always a few people who drink too much lemonade and their giddiness leans into the inappropriate category.

The usual fair at a work party is a some food, a few pints, the handing over the the Secret Santa presents and hugging to the tune of Fairytale of New York at the end of the night.

They do things a little differently at Google because their New York-themed Christmas do was held at the RDS last Friday and it cost over €200,000.

The staff had access to an ice-skating rink, the Funderland Ferris wheels and amusements and there were clowns and entertainers from Fossett’s Circus there as well.

The whole area was renamed "Googleland' for the night and almost 3,500 people attended.

According to reports, there were people on horseback dressed as members of the NYPD, as well as vehicles remodeled to look like police cars.

If the employees weren't happy with that, they were also given a goody bag worth €200. Nice.
