how to register for a vaccine in Ireland

The portal opened on Thursday morning.

The HSE’s online registration system for the vaccinations of people aged 69 opened on Thursday morning.

The portal will then open for people aged 68 from Friday (16 April), those aged 67 from Saturday (17 April), those aged 66 from Sunday (18 April) and those aged 65 from Monday (19 April).

The registrations can be made on the HSE website and you’ll need to have the following on hand:

  • You PPS Number
  • Eircode
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address

If you are having issues registering, you can call HSELive on 1850 24 1850 for assistance.

But not to worry if you or some of your family has not registered on the date mentioned above as registrations will remain open for these age groups after these dates.

The staggered system is being used solely to ensure the system can cope with the demands and that assistance can be provided to those calling the phone service.

It is not done on a first come, first served basis so registering first does not mean you will receive your vaccine quicker.

But if you’re having any other difficulties, the HSE has put together this fairly comprehensive video below to explain the process.
