Terribly sad news.

Two homeless men have died on Irish streets in the last 24 hours.

One of the deaths occurred in Louth where Gardaí were called to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda on Wednesday evening, following the sudden death of a young male in his 20s who was found unconscious on Mill Lane just before 10pm.

In Dublin, a 38-year-old homeless man was found dead in Dublin’s Temple Bar around 2am on Thursday morning.

His body was found on Adare Lane in the city centre.

Gardaí have said the death is not being treated as suspicious.

These deaths follow a similar tragedy in September when three homeless people also died inside a week.

A homeless woman was found dead in a Kildare hotel that she was staying in with her two children and the day before a homeless Irish man died after sleeping out in sub-zero temperatures. Another woman was found dead in a tent in Cork city.
