Hot weather will stay beyond the Bank Holiday weekend, says Met Éireann
But there is change on the horizon...
Met Éireann have said that the warm, sunny weather conditions we've been enjoying over the last week are here to stay beyond the Bank Holiday weekend, before a slight change late next week.
The country is currently enjoying temperatures in the 20's, with long spans of sunshine amid high pressure.
According to the forecaster the sunny weather will remain for the rest of the day, although "patchy cloud will bubble up at times this afternoon and evening."
Lowest temperatures tonight will be around 5 to 11 degrees, with "some mist and fog" developing in the light easterly breezes.

The good news is that the conditions are set to remain the same over the course of the next few days, with the forecaster saying: "High pressure will continue to dominate our weather with largely dry conditions and plenty of sunshine. Generally mild though an easterly airflow will keep it coolest close to the Irish Sea."
However, milder conditions will start to appear towards the end of the week, with some showers potentially on the way.
Take a look at the national outlook for the week below.
Sunday, June 4
Dry and mostly sunny tomorrow, Sunday, once early morning low cloud, mist and fog patches clear. A little patchy cloud will bubble up later in the day. Highest temperatures ranging from 18 degrees in the east to 25 degrees in the west and southwest all in light to moderate easterly winds.
A dry night with mostly clear skies. Temperatures not falling below 7 to 11 degrees. There's a possibility of some fog patches developing in light easterly or variable breezes.
Largely dry with good spells of sunshine. Some cloud will develop during the late morning and afternoon bringing the chance of isolated light showers, most likely in the north. Noticeably milder in the east than previous days as highest temperatures will range from 19 or 20 degrees in the north and east to 24 degrees in the west and southwest, all in mostly light easterly breezes.
Tuesday and Wednesday:
Very little change with mostly dry conditions and plenty of sunshine. There will be some cloud at times bringing with it a few light showers, most likely in the north and west. Highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees generally in light to moderate easterly.
Current indications suggest that it will continue mild with sunny spells for the rest of the week. However, while it will stay dry for most, there is a possibility of more in the way of showers.
