Homenews

Bad news coming up to Christmas.

90 people in the Republic of Ireland are set to lose their jobs with the closure of 28 Xtra-vision stores. Reports also suggest that 8 Xtra-vision stores in Northern Ireland will also close. In a statement given to the Irish Independent, Xtra-vision has said that it "is condensing its store portfolio to a smaller number of focused retail locations, while remaining dedicated to its investment in Xtra-vision Express; its vending machines operation, and its online channels, which are proving increasingly popular with customers."   https://twitter.com/yociaran/status/668051051451392004 As a result, 86 full-time and full-time equivalent jobs are likely to be lost in the Republic. A further 18 jobs will be lost in Northern Ireland. Most of these stores are expected to close their doors after Christmas, which is some consolation.
