Gardaí investigating firearm being discharged near film set in Donegal
A new Liam Neeson project is being filmed in the area.
Gardaí have confirmed they are investigating a discharge of a firearm near a film set in Ireland last Saturday (14 May).
The reported shot was fired in the Carrick area of Donegal in the early hours of the morning.
Carrick is the area in which new film In The Lands of Saints and Sinners is currently in production.
The movie features several Irish stars, including Liam Neeson, Ciarán Hinds, Kerry Condon, Colm Meaney, and Jack Gleeson.
The film is set to be released on Netflix at an undisclosed date.
In a statement, a Garda spokesperson told JOE that no injuries were reported following the discharge of the firearm.
No arrests have been made at this time, and investigations are ongoing.
