Ireland is set to get a new IKEA store

Great news.

Carl Kinsella

Just last week, IKEA changed the game for Irish customers when it launched its online store.

Now, the Swedish furniture store is set to do the same again, having announced plans to open another Irish location in Carrigtwohill, East Cork.

According to a report in the Irish Examiner, IKEA expect to add 500 new jobs through the new location.

As it stands, IKEA currently has three locations in Ireland — Ballymun and Carrickmines (both in Dublin), as well as a third location in Belfast. They currently employ 650 employees in the Republic of Ireland.
