Ireland will be hotter than parts of Spain on Thursday

Paul Moore

Weather forecast

Bring it on.

Between multiple weather warnings and just abject conditions in general, March has been one of the most miserable months in recent memory.

However, it appears that things are going to take a very welcome turn on Thursday as temperatures in parts of Ireland will be warmer than Madrid.

Granted, we’re not going to gloat too much because the buckets of rain are never far away, but it’s a welcome change for once.

Met Éireann says top temperatures ranging from 13 to 17 degrees are expected tomorrow on Thursday.

Compared to Barcelona, where temperatures are expected to reach 15 degrees, things are looking quite good. Barcelona might have Messi and good weather most of the time, but we’ll take whatever victories come our way.

Although it will eventually become somewhat warm and pleasant in places, Thursday morning is set to be fairly drab with mist and fog gradually clearing as the day develops.

If you’re living in the west and northwest, expect some patchy drizzle, but widespread sunshine is expected elsewhere.

Thursday night, meanwhile, should be be mild and mainly dry, so start making those after work plans.
