It’s as if it was meant to be…
With the World Cup just over a week away at this stage (praise the Lord) World Cup sweepstakes are being conducted in workplaces up and down the country and indeed, all over the world, and it’s no different in the Northern Ireland Assembly in Stormont or the Sinn Féin headquarters or wherever Martin McGuinness happens to be spending his time today.
The Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland tweeted the slip of the paper he drew out of the hat earlier today and as, you can tell by his tweet, he couldn’t quite believe what came out…

Coincidence? Probably, but they’ll likely end up going out on penalties in the quarter-finals anyway so we wouldn’t worry too much about having to collect any money by the end of the tournament if we were Martin.
We’re sure that’s what he was on about… right?
