It looks like we’ll finally have a timeline for reopening tomorrow

The government has promised "specific dates".

Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney has said the government will tomorrow provide a timeline for easing remaining restrictions across Ireland. The Cabinet subcommittee on Covid-19 is set to meet on Monday to finalise the plans, following a lengthy meeting last week. That's what the industry is asking for [specific dates]," Minister Simon Coveney said this morning on RTÉ Radio One’s Morning Ireland. “The Government wants to open up, and to do that as safely as we can. One thing we will definitely do tomorrow is give people specific dates so they can plan their businesses and lives around dates in the future." He added that Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Tánaiste Leo Varadkar and Minister Catherine Martin will meet with entertainment industry representatives to discuss the pathway to reopening. Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan confirmed on Sunday that public transport capacity restrictions would be removed soon, indicating a return to workplaces could be on the horizon. Another topic to be discussed in the coming days and weeks is the future of the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) which the Taoiseach said "still remains to be decided". Speaking to RedFM News, Martin said that Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Tony Holohan will remain "a key officer", however, in terms of the task force, a decision "remains to be decided". “The CMO is a key officer within the Department of Health and leads the public health campaign and public health advice - that will remain and that will continue," he said. “Precise formats and so on - in terms of the task force and the senior official's group - will be looked at. "How do we transition now from what has been an emergency situation for a long period, into creating what’s a more normal environment across government in dealing with the next phase? “All of that still remains to be decided.”
