It looks like there will be just one day of good weather over the next week

Irish weather rain

Every other day? Rain, rain, rain.

Yep, it really is time to crack out the rainjackets, as there will be just one good day of weather in the next week or so.

So which day can you ditch the brolly and maybe even the coat?

Tuesday!

Every other day looks drab and damp.

As per the Met Eireann website, Monday will be a largely dry day with sunny spells, a bit cloudier in the west with patchy drizzle. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds. Monday night will be dry in most areas but outbreaks of light rain will affect the west and north.

Tuesday will be breezy with outbreaks of rain over the north and west and highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees. Warm and humid in the east and south with some sunshine and top temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees. Moderate to fresh southwest winds.

Wednesday can be described in one word: breezy. Rain in the west and north will gradually spread eastwards during the day. Highs of 17 to 21 degrees in fresh southwest winds.

Thursday will see things get a lot cooler, with sunshine and showers. Highs of 15 to 18 degrees in westerly breezes and things are expected to pretty much stay that way going into the weekend.
