A man has died after being hit by a lorry in Waterford

Very sad news.

A 60-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision in Waterford.

At 8.15pm on Sunday night, Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of a serious road traffic collision between a truck and a male pedestrian at Killossera, Dungarvan, Waterford.

A 60-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver of the truck was uninjured.

The road is currently closed and traffic diversions are in place while Garda forensic collision investigators are examining the crash site.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dungarvan Garda Station 058-48600 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
