Man in his 30s dies following farmland shooting in Dublin

The shooting took place at approximately 1pm on Tuesday.

A man who was shot in the head in Dublin on Tuesday (22 February) has died.

RTÉ News reported that the man passed away in hospital on Thursday.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene in the Hazel Grove area of Tallaght shortly after 1pm on Tuesday.

The man, aged in his 30s, was later taken to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The man arrested at the scene has been detained at Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information relevant to the incident who may have been in the Hazel Grove area of Tallaght to come forward.
