Hollywood star Matthew Broderick has weighed in on who he will be supporting in this afternoon’s All-Ireland football final.

Kerry will face Donegal in the showpiece tie in Croke Park, as Jim McGuinness looks to bring Sam Maguire back to Donegal on his return to management.

And it’s Jim’s men that Matthew will be shouting for this afternoon when they meet at 3.30pm.

Speaking to Marty Morrissey on Saturday’s Up For, Matthew was among the Donegal supporters.

He spoke about his late parents James and Patricia Broderick.

Kilcar GAA club hold an underage tournament in memory of his parents who were big supporters of the club.

He added that he was very excited to be a part of Up For The Match, saying: "This is a very high mark for me."

Matthew and his wife Sarah Jessica-Parker regularly visit Donegal and even own a family cottage.

He revealed that his parents visited Donegal years ago and fell in love with the place. 

They bought a house and he spent his summers there from the age of 10. 

Donegal and Kerry last met in an All-Ireland final in 2014, with Kerry coming out on top 2-9 to 0-12.

Kerry overcame Armagh in the semi-final, while Donegal were victorious over Meath two weeks ago.
