Ireland weather

It’s all rather mixed.

It’s looking like we’re finally going to get some summer temperatures in Ireland as it looks set to hit 20 degrees today and tomorrow.

We say summer temperatures, because it would be inaccurate to say summer weather as it still looks rather unsettled.

Met Éireann says Tuesday will be a bright, dry day in many places but there will also be the possibility of some showers over Connacht and Ulster, with some of these being heavy.

But temperatures will range from 15 to 20 degrees with the best of these coming in the south of the country.

Overnight, showers will die out to be later replaced by further showers on the Atlantic coast.

It’s going to be a mixed day on Wednesday as it will initially start out rather sunny in the east and south of the country.

But that will quickly change as showers become widespread in the afternoon with the risk of thunder in some areas.

Top temperatures will range from 14 or 15 degrees in parts of the west and northwest, to 18 and 20 degrees in parts of east Munster and southeast Leinster.

The outlook past Wednesday is unsettled but temperatures will remain around average for this time of year with Thursday and Friday being days of sunny spells and showers.

The weekend looking cloudy but dry on Saturday, while Sunday will likely be a more damp affair.
