The sunshine isn’t going away anytime soon.

We’re becoming more and more accustomed to the fact that Ireland is really, really hot these days.

We’ve even done the most Irish thing imaginable and started moaning about how hot it is, with some even going as far as wishing that the rain would return.

And by the looks of it, the sun isn’t going away any time soon.

Met Éireann have issued a status-yellow weather warning for 14 counties, with highest temperatures expected to reach 28 degrees in certain counties.

The counties included in the warning are Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Meath, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.

Issued at 4pm on Tuesday, the warning is valid from 2pm until 7pm on Wednesday and comes only a few days after a nationwide status-yellow weather warning was issued, when “drought or near-drought conditions” expected.

We don’t think we’re sick of the sun just yet, bring it on.
