Four Status Yellow warnings have been issued for the Halloween weekend.

Met Éireann has upgraded its previous weather warnings issued on Saturday morning, as well as issued two more.

As it stands, four Status Yellow warnings have been put out for the Halloween weekend.

The first one to come into effect is a rain warning for the province of Munster, along with Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.

It is valid from 10pm on Saturday to 2am on Sunday.

The second is another rain warning for Leinster, as well as counties Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim and Monaghan and will be in effect from 1am to 5am on Sunday.

Both warn of “heavy rain with a risk of thunderstorms”.

Meanwhile, the other two Status Yellow warnings relate to wind, with the first valid from 6am to midday on Sunday and for Clare, Cork and Kerry.

“West to northwest winds will reach mean speeds of up to 65km/hr with gusts up to 100km/hr,” it reads.

The other will be in effect from midday to 10pm on Halloween and applies to Clare and Galway.

It states: “Northwest winds will reach mean speeds up to 65km/hr with gusts up to 100km/hr.”
