Met Éireann warns of possible snow as heating bills continue to rise

The temperatures are set to plummet once again.
Met Éireann has warned of the possibility of snow in their national forecast for the coming week.
Being dubbed bad news for rising heating bills, the National Meteorological Service has forecasted temperatures to plummet as the week begins.
Today, Sunday, March 22, saw a cloudy start with some wet drizzle, however is set to dry up in the Northwest.
Tomorrow, Monday, March 23, will be largely dry, with light patches of rain before a wet Tuesday, which is will bring heavy showers and cooler temperatures.
The heavy jackets will be needed once again from Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather explained that the air mass will turn much cooler, bringing wintry showers, including snow and sleet in certain areas.
Thursday will be dull rain and drizzle spreading from the west before Friday and the weekend which are set to bring mixed conditions.
On a better note, O'Reilly said the past couple of fine days may be a taste of 'what's to come' later in the Spring and Summer.
