Donald Trump, who is currently on a tour of Asia, has let loose on North Korea yet again.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday afternoon, the Republican president wrote “NoKo [North Korea] has interpreted America’s past restraint as weakness. This would be a fatal miscalculation. Do not underestimate us. AND DO NOT TRY US.”
The message was accompanied by footage of Trump’s visit to Japan and South Korea this week, and represents one in a long line of incendiary public statements that he has made about the North Korean government since taking office.

The tweet is an echo of a speech that Trump made to South Korea’s parliament this week, wherein he told the North Korean leader “Do not underestimate us. Do not try us.”
Directly addressing Kim Jong-un, Trump said “the weapons you are acquiring are not making you safer. They are putting your regime in grave danger,” warned Mr Trump. “Every step you take down this dark path increases the peril you face.”
The next stop on Trump’s tour is China, another country that has been on the end of Trump’s volatile statements.
