Emergency services have been dealing with the incident this morning, with one lane remaining open to traffic.
AA Roadwatch reported this morning that emergency services were dealing with a truck which was on fire close to the Finglas exit on the M50 northbound.

News of the incident appeared when passers-by mentioned it on Twitter this morning and the following picture of the truck was posted by Jim O’Brien of TechBuzz Ireland earlier on.

Motorists will still be able to pass on the right lane but delays appear inevitable when morning traffic approaches peak levels and if you usually take the M50 on the way to work, it might be worth pursuing an alternative route this morning.
M50: The left lane is closed at J5 Finglas Northbound due to the earlier incident.
