What’s that Skip, it’s hot as hell down by the billabong?

What’s that Skip, it’s hot as hell down by the billabong?

There are plenty of Irish people experiencing the extreme heat in Australia at the moment and while only they can testify as to the effects it’s having on their pasty skins and what it’s like to try and cope in temperatures a world away from what we’re used to over here, a chart of temperatures from all over the country gives a pretty good idea of the situation Down Under at present.

Needless to say, if Alf Stewart was to be heard shouting at some flamin’ galahs he could actually mean it literally such is the heat being experienced by our Aussie friends at the moment, with the mercury hitting upwards of 40 degrees in a number of different areas around the country/continent at the moment.

As we know from reports from the Australian Open, it’s been just a little bit scorchio in Melbourne, Adelaide doesn’t look too cool either and one would be best advised not to wander inland if starting at either of those outposts, where temperatures are in and around and even in excess of the mid-40s.

Let’s just hope the air con is still working.
