Vehicle fire alleged to be the cause as images of thick black smoke billowing from New York landmark are posted online.
These arresting images are coming from New York this afternoon. It appears that a truck has caught fire on the Queensboro Bridge, one of the most famous landmarks in the Big Apple.
The reports initially mentioned an explosion, or multiple explosions, but so far it seems the consensus from news reports in the city is that it is a simple, but very large, vehicle fire.
Thankfully, it seems the incident is not too serious, as this NBC reporter tweeted.
