Today, Thursday, 22 September is National Property Recovered Day, where Gardai seek to reunite property they have recovered in the course of theft and burglaries with the owners of said property, as well as providing support for victims of crime at selected Garda stations throughout the country.
In those selected Garda stations, in each Garda division, members of the public are invited to view photographs of property in Garda custody and avail of the services of Crime Prevention Officers and Victims Services at selected stations.
Some of the more bizarre items Gardai are seeking to reunite with their owners were posted on the An Garda Síochána Facebook page earlier this week, among them a set of skis, a Jet Ski and a chalice.
Those are just a selection of the items recovered by Gardai and from today, the public can view all images of property from each Garda division at this link.
