Looks like his neighbours got the worst of it.
Police were called to the Pierce Brosnan’s home in Malibu, California after receiving reports of a man loitering around the actor’s house and neighbouring properties.
The unidentified man allegedly defecated and urinated in the garden of the house beside Brosnan’s, before rooting through their bins and using the actor’s outdoor shower.
“The man came onto the Brosnans’ property from the beach and used the outdoor shower. He was escorted off the property by the staff,” a representative for the Irishman said.
After fleeing in the direction of the beach where a police helicopter found him hiding among some rocks, the intruder was eventually arrested and charged with trespassing.
According to TMZ, Keely Shaye Smith, Brosnan’s wife was reportedly at home during the intrusion, but it isn’t known if Brosnan was also present.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson said in a statement: “The suspect entered a neighbouring property – somebody else’s property – entered their laundry room, used their water, fled the location and then trespassed onto Mr Brosnan’s property.”
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the Navan man has had someone trespass on his property. Just last year, Brosnan reportedly filed a restraining order against a woman whom he accused of stalking him and his family. The 55-year-old had been living in her car outside the actor’s house.
The 70-year-old and his wife have been married since 2001 and have two children together, Dylan Brosnan, 26, and Paris Brosnan, 22.
