Not what you want from your pilot.

A pilot has been arrested in St. Louis for trying to board a plane with a loaded pistol in his carry-on luggage.

The man, who was working as pilot for Southwestern Airlines, was discovered by the Transportation Security Administration to have the weapon on his person. After he was stopped, it was found that he did not have any authorisation to be carrying the weapon.

The flight was bound for Las Vegas, where just last month Stephen Paddock murdered 58 people dead in a major mass shooting incident.

The pilot, who has not yet been publicly named, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful use of a weapon, but charges have yet to be filed, according to the Associated Press.
